Hello!

My name is Evgeniya Bova, I am a full-time artist.

I graduated from Art School № 5 in Yaroslavl, Russia. For more than 10 years I was involved in graphic and web design. Since 2015 I devote all my time to painting.

The basis of my practice - is the most subtle transfer of the emotional state in a particular moment. When creating abstract images I use minimalistic color solutions, relying on texture. Sometimes the paintings are almost sculptural, and the complexity of their relief is inversely proportional to the complexity of the color solution. The state is conveyed by the expressiveness of the gesture, not the subject matter. When I work on a painting I use not only brushes and brushstrokes, but also my fingers. That's what allows me to convey nuances of emotions on a tactile level, making each work intimate and sensual.
